Members were made very welcome by staff at the venue, and each team was provided with a coach. After a bit of practice, the real competition got going. There was some keen rivalry. In particular between the ladies and men on the Presidents team. We were lucky enough to have a County Level player – Peter Shaw – who demonstrated to us how it really should be done. Peter Shaw showed us that bowls is a game that can be enjoyed by all ages and how other younger people, like himself, were enjoying the sport.
