Adrian BIA

Mr Adrian Robson, proprietor of local Electrical Contractors’ Robson Electrics has been elected president of The Association of Bridgwater Industrialists; he replaces Angel Place shopping centre manager Mr Roger Smith and Mr Matthew Redman of Auditel has been elected as vice president of the group.

Bridgwater born, Adrian said: “I feel extremely proud and honoured to be nominated as president of the Bridgwater Industrialists, and I look forward to working with Matthew and all of our members as we continue to do what we think is best for our town’

Bridgwater and the surrounding area is currently going through some major changes with huge potential and business opportunities for many local companies to invest into and grow our local economy and also provide jobs for many local people. I’m looking forward to being more closely involved and working with our business members to actively assist and help promote Bridgwater in any way possible.

Adrian continued, ’the association has a very important part to play in what happens in the town, especially right now with new businesses being attracted into the area, bringing new developments and therefore expansion of the town, which is unique and currently not a national trend and something we need to encourage and be proud of. Our members are made up of representatives from many well established and diverse businesses and organisations within and around the town, all with one common factor, we all want the best for Bridgwater’

The Bridgwater Industrialists was founded in 1957 by Mr Bill Coates of Coates Fencing. The group’s membership is drawn from in and around Bridgwater and meets monthly to learn from each other and to hear from expert speakers about issues that affect local businesses.
