News…Cobham Level Switches replaced after 30yrs plus service…

AM Sensors Ltd now manufactures a wide range of level measurement products in the UK. Since the acquisition of the Alan Cobham Engineering product range of Electro-mechanical operated Float Switches and Valves from Meggitt PLC over 3 years ago by AM Sensors Ltd we have grown from strength to strength.

Recently AMS supplied EDF with replacement displacer switches on a “Secondary Containment” application used on water discharge expansion pits situated around a Nuclear Power Plant, the new displacer switches replaced the original ones which had been in operation for over 30 years, The urgent site request for engineering assistance was promptly acted upon by AMS, with the initial delivery within one week of the site order..

News….Achilles UVDB B2 Verify – AMS Audit Success………

Recently AM Sensors Ltd were audited by Achilles as part of the Category B2 verification process. This involved an evaluation of the Management Systems of AM Sensors Ltd, Chedzoy and also an Onsite Assesment. The audit scope covered Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality practices and procedures. We achieved exceptional results in both areas. Our scores averaged 91% against the industry
average of 75%

Mark completes the 3 Peak Challenge……….

AMS Engineering Manager Mark Barham joined a group of 12 parents, teachers and friends of a local primary school taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge with the aim of raising money towards a new school minibus.

The 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – all within 24 hours. It involves walking approximately 24 miles and ascending and descending over 3,000 metres.

The group completed the challenge well within the allotted time and the money they raised helped greatly towards the target total enabling the school to purchase the minibus less than 12 months from commencing the project.
