London Marathon 2012

Graham Bentley, Jason Environmental, ran the London Marathon in aid of TASC Madagascar

They are a small and very direct charity trying to help poor people in Madagascar. TASC stands for “Tossing a Starfish Charity”.  They aim to relieve poverty, improve health and education.

“I am expecting to have raised over £600 for them.

My finish time was 03:53:50  which is a pb and my overall place was 9218 out of about 37,500.

The crowd were fantastic handing out jelly babies and cheering us all on, the sight of the Cutty Sark and Tower Bridge are just two of the wonderful landmarks that give you a lift as you approach them.

Luckily on the day the rain that was predicted didn’t materialise and it was a dry and warm race. I train with the Quantock Harriers and that team spirit really helped with my training and on the day.”
