History
The Amber Chemical Company Ltd was incorporated on 28th November 1906 in England and therefore has 100 years of experience in the chemical industry. It became part of the Caledonia Group in the 1980’s and the first major expansion followed shortly afterwards with the formation of Ambratec in Germany. The 1990’s saw further expansion by acquisition into the Automotive and Silicone areas in the UK, Italy and the US. After a period of consolidation and organic growth, a move into the surface coating sector has signalled that Amber is poised for further growth in all of the areas of existing interest with substantial potential for Amber to become a major operator based on its technical and commercial expertise.
